JUST A FEW WORDS ABOUT WHAT IS HAPPENING IN MY WORLD.

Wednesday, November 10, 2004

I used to realize how lucky I was but I never really could DEEPLY appreciate what I had until very recently. Before then I should have smiled a whole lot more – I should have been laughing a whole lot more – I should have brought more joy to people – I should have given off more and stronger positive vibes. But lessons learned about what should have happened in the past not applied, mean nothing.

Two months ago, I finally realized how wonderful my life was. If you had been with me at any time in September or October, you would have seen pure happiness where everything was possible.

But now it might be gone because I have to worry about making money, I am back into the “real world.” I fret (mainly in bed when all is still and I am alone with just my thoughts - how’s that for scary!) I wouldn’t worry but since I don’t really want to return the States because the Bushman has been re-elected.... I have very little left and I don’t know how it will come to me.

So now it is a good time to publicly proclaim that when it comes to earning money, I am stupid. There – I said it. Oh, I will always have a little money in my pocket, a place to sleep and food to eat – but that doesn’t stop me from worrying about money. I used to never worry about it (it used to never mean anything to me) but now my situation is different than it has ever been, trying to stay in Europe. Eh, all I can do is hope for the best.

I just finished reading The Singing Detective by Dennis Potter. Many years ago, my mom and I watched the six part BBC series on television. (Probably the most proclaimed, popular drama never watched by anyone!) At first, it was really strange for people to break out singing and dancing in a heavy drama but it was extraordinarily captivating. But since we started watching it somewhere in the middle – it was great to read the book. If you like your stories that go from A through Z in alphabetical order, this book is NOT for you. If anyone wants to borrow this book or French or Foe? by Polly Platt about living with the French, let me know.
